Visit Myrtle Beach Promotes Diane Charno To Vice President, Brand and Communications

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.– Visit Myrtle Beach, the tourism arm of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC), is pleased to announce Diane Charno has been promoted to Vice President, Brand and Communications. Charno will lead cross-functional campaign development to drive destination brand awareness, demand, visitation and tourism economic impact for the Myrtle Beach area.

“I love sharing the Myrtle Beach story and showcasing our beautiful Grand Strand to visitors near and far. I’m looking forward to elevating the Myrtle Beach brand and supporting our destination’s recovery,” Charno said. 

For the past four years, Charno held the position of Director of Marketing at Visit Myrtle Beach and has worked in the destination marketing field for more than 25 years. Prior experience includes agency management, marketing and communications roles at Ascedia, Boelter + Lincoln and Laughlin/Constable.

“This past year, Diane has demonstrated exceptional skill navigating our brand communications throughout the pandemic and has done a masterful job managing our marketing team and agencies as we develop 2021 campaigns,” said Karen Riordan, MBACC President and CEO.

Charno will continue to serve as a key member of the MBACC senior leadership team in order to promote, protect and improve the Grand Strand business community. She currently lives in the Myrtle Beach area with her husband, Tracy.
