Travel is booming in Myrtle Beach, and the city’s largest carrier is celebrating 25 years of service by stepping up with more bright yellow planes to meet the demand. Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) confirmed its summer schedule will offer nearly 200 flights each week with nonstop service to 19 destinations—which represents a 40 percent increase in flights compared to the carrier’s 2019 service levels at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR).

Today, Southwest Airlines announced their intention to serve Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). According to Southwest CEO Gary Kelly, service will begin in time for summer vacations to the Myrtle Beach area. A specific launch date and destinations will be announced at a future date.
