Myrtle Beach’s Spectacular New Year’s Eve Events Suited to All Ages

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. —Visit Myrtle Beach, the official destination marketing organization of South Carolina’s Grand Strand, invites families to ring in 2025 in style with special events happening throughout Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024.

“New Year’s Eve is such a special time for families to come together and celebrate. Whether it’s watching the kids light up during a beach ball drop, sharing laughs over games and good food, or enjoying festive fireworks before bedtime, there’s something for everyone to make their celebration meaningful and fun,” said Denielle Van Dyke, public relations manager, Visit Myrtle Beach.

Family-friendly New Year’s Eve events begin early with LuLu’s Noon Year’s Eve at Barefoot Landing. This free, kid-centric celebration begins at 10 a.m. and includes a sandcastle contest, face painting and a spectacular drop of hundreds of beach balls at noon.

The fun continues with the NYE Eary Party at Dave & Buster’s at Broadway at the Beach from 4 to 7 p.m. Families can enjoy a kid-friendly buffet, unlimited soft drinks, a $20 card for unlimited video game play, a ginger ale toast and a video ball drop. Tickets are available in advance.

New Year’s Eve fireworks light up the Grand Strand at various times, so you don’t have to wait until midnight to enjoy these free shows.

For a classic ball drop and street party experience, A Southern Times Square at The Market Common, kicks off at 9 p.m. with live music, food vendors and a lively atmosphere. As midnight approaches, enjoy a ball drop and an aerial drone show. Entry requires a $25 receipt from The Market Common vendors, dated between Dec. 26 and 31.

Additional festivities can be found throughout the Grand Strand. For more information and to start planning your unforgettable New Year’s Eve, explore VisitMyrtleBeach.com.
