Karen Riordan, President & CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau (MBACVB), provided a quarterly marketing report to the Myrtle Beach City Council on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021. The update included a first-quarter A-tax and TDF spending report, the STR Metrics and Key Data Metrics for the last week of May, Horry County occupancy trends for the next 60 days, updates on the new branding for local and visitor campaigns for Visit Myrtle Beach.
PRESENTATION HIGHLIGHTS:
In the first quarter of 2021, MBACVB spent $171,020 in A-tax funds with 24% of the spend in general consumer promotions.
In the first quarter of 2021, MBACVB spent $2,567,854 in TDF funds with 30% of the spend in digital.
As of June 3, 2021, Horry County Adjusted Paid and Owner Occupancy bookings for the next 60 days are pacing 19.2 points ahead of 2019.
