MYRTLE BEACH AREA CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU HAS HIRED LORI LAMPO AS ITS NEW MEETINGS AND CONVENTIONS SALES MANAGER.
Lampo joins the CVB with more than 10 years of experience in oceanfront hotel operations and group sales. As a member of the Burroughs and Chapin marketing team, she focused on driving group business for Broadway at the Beach and executing top notch events for locals and tourists alike. Lampo served as director of sales for Red Roof Inn & Suites, as well as Destination Cinema’s Myrtle Beach and Grand Canyon IMAX 3D theaters. Most recently, she led the sales and marketing team for WonderWorks during her 7-year term as senior sales and marketing manager.
Lampo has completed terms on the Myrtle Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau Group Sales and Advertising/Publicity Committees. She currently serves as vice chair for Coastal Network Cooperative, dedicated to increasing group travel to the Myrtle Beach area.
A South Carolina native and a member of the Myrtle Beach community for more than 23 years, Lampo earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Coastal Carolina University while working full time in the Myrtle Beach hospitality tourism industry.
Lampo lives in Myrtle Beach with her husband, Paul, and two children, Haisley, 6, and Jack, 2.
