The CHIA designation is a highly respected credential in the global lodging industry and equips students with analytical skills essential for industry success.
The CHIA certification curriculum includes:
Hotel Industry Analytical Foundations
Hotel Math Fundamentals and Performance Metrics
STAR Reports for Property-Level Performance Improvements
Market Performance Analysis using STR Industry Data
The students’ achievement highlights the strength of CCU’s HRTM program, which prepares future hospitality professionals to manage resort and tourism service organizations. Located in the heart of a world-class tourism destination, the program emphasizes real-world experience through internships, specialized coursework, and market analysis projects.
This spring, these students will also present their market analysis research, which includes studies on Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Savannah. Their work further reinforces the relevance and rigor of the HRTM program.
We celebrate their hard work and are excited to see how these emerging leaders shape the future of the hospitality industry across the Grand Strand and beyond.
