Residents Invited to June Town Halls: The Future of the Grand Strand

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB (MBACC) has embarked on a project to develop a Destination Stewardship Plan which will outline an overall vision and strategy to develop the Myrtle Beach area’s visitor economy. It will include strategies for stewarding tourism towards a responsible future and serve as a roadmap to balance the health of our visitor economy with the long-term health and vibrancy of our community and ecosystem. The MBACC team has been working collaboratively with MMGY NextFactor, a leading advisor in travel and tourism who has delivered strategies to more than 300 destinations, to develop this Plan.

Guided by a steering committee of local leaders, MMGY NextFactor has been conducting interviews and focus groups with local civic, business and government leaders, and industry stakeholders in various sectors to gather critical insights to inform the project.

The input of our residents is critical to this process and to the overall effectiveness of the Plan. As a resident of the Grand Strand, you are invited to share your input at a community town hall where our consultants will solicit your input to further develop and refine the Destination Stewardship Plan.
