The award recognizes the “Visit Myrtle Beach Shares Some Sunshine” campaign.

On Aug. 24, 2021, officials with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) bestowed the Check My Beach program with their Community Star Award.

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) sees record passenger traffic in June 2021

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) continues to see record-breaking passenger counts this summer. In June 2021, the number of people arriving on flights, or deplanements, totaled 230,333 compared to 170,059 in 2019. Total passenger traffic, which includes both arriving and departing passengers, totaled 451,750, a 35.2% increase from 334,340 passengers in June 2019, MYR’s previous best June on record.
