Visit Myrtle Beach proudly announces Sandy Haines, director of group tour sales, has earned the Certified Tour Professional (CTP) certification by the National Tour Association (NTA).

Haines was recognized for her achievement during this year’s NTA Travel Exchange, a gathering of travel industry leaders held Nov. 17-20, 2024, in Huntsville, Ala. Earning the CTP designation requires significant industry experience, completion of specialized coursework in areas like business management and tour operations, and passing assessments to demonstrate expertise.

Benefiting Local Charities in 2024 Recognized By Myrtle Beach Classic

Chris Gotterup accepted the winner’s trophy at the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, but he wasn’t the only winner at the area’s first-ever PGA TOUR event. The tournament was a big hit, drawing more than 40,000 spectators during a week of ideal weather that helped showcase the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. In addition, nine local charities shared $225,000, with seven of those receiving at least $26,750.
