April is World Autism Month, and Visit Myrtle Beach and the communities along the 60 miles of coastline have been committed to creating an autism- and sensory-friendly destination throughout the year since 2016. As a recognized autism-friendly destination, Myrtle Beach continues its increasing efforts to provide a safe, accessible, and welcoming destination for all, including a sensory-friendly pledge and numerous initiatives to promote and foster inclusivity throughout the region.

Visit Myrtle Beach to Launch New Reality TV Show ‘Chef Swap at The Beach’

Visit Myrtle Beach has partnered with The WorkShop Content Studios to develop “Chef Swap at The Beach,” a new cooking competition television series that will highlight the culinary talents of chefs throughout the Grand Strand. As host and judge, Chef Amanda Freitag will pull chefs out of their resident kitchens and swap them into each other’s restaurant to prepare a new dish for evaluation by a panel of judges.

The best beachers beach on the beach--Myrtle beach, that is, in the sunny new “Beach with the Best” ad campaign launched by Visit Myrtle Beach. The ads are a part of an integrated, mass media campaign developed to drive awareness and demand for the destination this summer and was developed in partnership with MMGY, Valiant Pictures, FreshFly, The Workshop, and directed by Vincent Lin.
