We Are The Beach

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB would like to create interactive & timeless landmarks through public art along the Grand Strand. The intent is to create artwork installations that capture the pride of locals and spark the interest of visitors alike. The hope is to collaborate with local artists, businesses, and residents to generate art that engages the community. We are currently taking nominations for locations, design ideas, and volunteer inquires.

Ideal Wall Specs for installation

Best walls for interactive murals include one or more of these qualities:

• Size

  • 25’ - 30’ ft. W x 12’ - 15” ft. H

  • Walls that are too big lose the interactive element

• Surface

  • Concrete, cinderblock, brick, or stucco (primed)

• Placement

  • Facing oncoming traffic

  • High Foot Traffic

  • Public access (can step back enough for clear photos)

• Sight

  • Ground Level

  • No Obstructions (signs, parking spaces, utility poles, trees, etc.)
