Second Season of ‘Chef Swap at The Beach’ to Air on Cooking Channel in Spring 2024

National TV personality and local restauranteur Mason Zeglen to host new season, showcasing incredible, local culinary talent along Grand Strand

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Following the stellar success of “Chef Swap at The Beach” season one, Visit Myrtle Beach, in partnership with The WorkShop Content Studios, are excited to announce a second season of the hit TV show will air on the Cooking Channel this coming spring 2024.

“Season one of ‘Chef Swap at The Beach’ showcased some of the culinary talents found here along the Grand Strand. It was inspiring to see our community unite behind the featured chefs. We’re eager to watch the vibrant energy of season two captivate viewers from across the country,” said Karen Riordan, president and CEO, Visit Myrtle Beach.

Local Chef Mason Zeglen, owner of Milk & Honey Coffee Café in Surfside Beach, S.C., will host this season of “Chef Swap.” His knowledge of the region brings an insightful, genuine perspective to each episode while his previous appearances on TV shows like “Guy’s Grocery Games” and Dan Levy’s “The Big Brunch” provides a refined, on-screen presence.

“It’s an honor to have been chosen to host the second season of ‘Chef Swap,’” Zeglen said. “There’s an abundance of culinary talent along the Grand Strand and this series not only showcases the incredible stories of our local chefs, but shines a light on the unique flavors of our region.”

Seven episodes feature a total of 14 local chefs. Veteran judges Johanna Wilson Jones and Dylan Foster return for a second season to join Zeglen in selecting the winning chef and dish of each episode.

In addition to a new host, there are several additional changes that viewers can expect from the upcoming season, including a special “catch and cook” episode that will showcase fresh, local seafood and the use of additional local ingredients.
