Hurricane Dorian Alert

Update as of 9/6/19, 10:30 a.m.: Governor Henry McMaster lifted the evacuation order for Zone A at 10 a.m. this morning.    

  •  Crews out doing damage assessments. There are a few blocked roads but major thoroughfares are in good shape.

  • All curfews have been lifted in all areas. 

  • All hospitals up and running.

  • There are power outages. Overall less than 1,700 without power and all companies are out and addressing issues.

  • Open for Business Signs - Stop by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, 1200 N. Oak St., and pick up a free Open for Business yard sign.

Myrtle Beach International Airport

This morning, airlines will resume scheduled operations into and out of the Myrtle Beach International Airport, and by end of day, it is expected, all scheduled air service will return to normal. However, travelers are advised to check with their airline for up-to-date flight information, prior coming to the airport.
